Anthony R. Artino, Jr., PhD, Founder & Principal

Dr. Anthony (Tony) Artino is an internationally recognized expert in survey design with more than 20 years of experience in health professions education and applied research. He is a tenured professor and Associate Dean for Educational Research at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He previously served for over two decades as a career officer in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps. During his military service, he led human performance and instructional design initiatives, and earned advanced degrees in physiology, instructional systems, and educational psychology.

An award-winning educator and researcher, Dr. Artino has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, edited a foundational textbook on survey design, and led the redesign of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Resident/Fellow and Faculty Surveys, tools that are used annually across more than 12,000 medical training programs.
